Session 2 – Clinical Lipidomics – Technologies
Keynote
Lipid class separation - mass spectrometry workflows in high-throughput lipidomic quantitation
Michal Holčapek is a head of lipidomics group and a full professor of analytical chemistry at University of Pardubice in Czech Republic. His research focus is mass spectrometry and its coupling with chromatographic techniques with applications in the lipidomic analysis and cancer biomarker discovery. He is a coauthor of over 130 papers in peer-reviewed international journals, editor of Trends in Analytical Chemistry, member of editorial advisory boards of Analytical and Bioanalytical Chemistry, and Lipids.
He was selected on the Power List of most influential people in the analytical sciences (2020, 2015 and 2013, The Analytical Scientist). He is one of founding members of the Lipidomics Standards Initiative and the International Lipidomics Society, where he currently holds the position of vice-president.
